Cover Reveal: The Scars of Jorn Redclaw

I am pleased to announce The Scars of Jorn Redclaw – the first novella from the world of Domanska, and the first in a series called Tales From a Domanskan Fireside. In this series, the reader is given a chance to sit beside the fire while the heroes and villains of Domanska share all on the life events that helped shape them, revealing more of who they are and the world in which they live.

The Scars of Jorn Redclaw is set just hours before the events of Wolfeater, as Radok and his Grey Crow riders make camp for the night ahead, oblivious to the fateful encounter waiting for them with the Valor.

But who are the Grey Crow? How did the legendary Wolfeater become one of them? And how do they survive in a world of such cruel wilderness, viscous killers, and monstrous beasts? Jorn Redclaw knows the answers, for they are written in the scars covering his flesh, and in The Scars of Jorn Redclaw, he’ll share those answers with those he calls his friends.

I’m delighted to have worked with the wonderfully talented Stefan Koidl on the cover art for this one, and I think he really captured the look I was going for, helping to produce a cover I couldn’t wait to share.

So, without further ado, here is the cover and blurb for The Scars of Jorn Redclaw:

Some stories are written in scars.

They say some stories are written in blood. But, sooner or later, it’s the scars that hold the truth.

No one knows this better than Jorn Redclaw, a man who made his name fighting beside the legendary Wolfeater. His scarred flesh is all the proof needed of a life lived… and the price paid.

But when you find yourself sitting beside a campfire in the middle of a winter’s night, what else is there to do but relive the glorious past?

From the jagged cut to his brow, suffered when swimming the Adalvas, to the ruined remains of his leg, earned in a brutal fight with the monstrous Old Bear, Jorn will share his stories with the lucky few he calls his friends.

But has he forgotten the only truth that counts? That some wounds never heal.

I’m aiming for a September 2021 release for The Scars of Jorn Redclaw, but sign up to the newsletter at the bottom of the page if you want to be kept up-to-date with all the latest news from the world of Domanska.

Thanks for reading!
